Y2K II: Benevolent Psychosis, also known as New Game+, is a sequel to YIIK which directly continues the story off of the events of I.V's Y2K Debugger Ending. It centers around two main narratives, Cyrille and Krow having to deal with the looming threat of ONISM MAN, and Nameless Child experiencing a remixed version of her adventure from YIIK I.V, with Asuka as a party member. While considered a sequel, it is not a separate game, and is contained within the YIIK I.V update.
The existence of Y2K II was kept as a surprise. Before release, screenshots from Y2K II were posted on Ackk's Twitter, but were not labelled as Y2K II content. In 2022, a development update was released for YIIK I.V, stating that there will be a "substantial NG+ campaign." It wasn't until the game's release that players would come to know the NG+ campaign was considered the sequel to YIIK. Ackk wouldn't officially recognize its existence until a month after YIIK I.V's release, with Y2K II's soundtrack releasing on January 19th, 2025. On April 4th, 2025, Ackk released a trailer for the campaign.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Y2K II functions the same as YIIK I.V, with a few differences. The inventory is cleared, but money is kept over. Additionally, the Mind Dungeon is inaccessible, meaning that no characters or Karta can be leveled up. New Karta cannot be found either. However, all Karta obtained in the base game is fully accessible in Y2K II. Cyrille is a unique party member in that she is forced to have three karta: Heart, Olexa, and Michelle. Other characters are fully able to modify their karta.
Y2K II has a focus on hidden items for equipment, represented by small dots in the environment. In the Nameless segments, enemy encounters grant a lot of different item and equipment drops than in the base game.
Story[edit | edit source]
Y2K II has two different narratives, one focusing on Cyrille and the other on Nameless Child. After each "chapter," the story switches to the other.
Olde Jersey[edit | edit source]
Krow visits The Blackened Pond to speak with three entities, notifying them that the King needs "a body of flesh." While not stated, it can be interpreted that the King needs one to be a vessel for the ONISM MAN. In response, the Krow is pulled under the water by one of the entities.
Meanwhile, Cyrille dreams of The Master, a man whose role isn't directly stated, but appears to be a mentor figure whom Cyrille greatly trusts. He warns her of the ONISM MAN, and asks her to arm herself. Cyrille awakens to find Krow, who fell from The All, in front of her castle grounds. She quickly meets with The Madonna to receive a holy blade and two familiars, Olexa and Michelle, so she can confront Krow, who she believes to be the ONISM MAN. After a small skirmish, Krow flees into the forest. When Cyrille catches up, she finds Krow sitting on a log, and instead of trying to continue to fight, she talks to him. The Krow denies that he is the ONISM MAN, and Cyrille accepts that.

Krow discloses to Cyrille that he drank from The Blackened Pond, and since then he has been receiving visions of him being three other people who are battling against the ONISM MAN. They both continue their conversation at The Blackened Pond itself, Krow revealing to Cyrille that he was drowned in the pond by an entity, who called him an Original Sinner. He explains to Cyrille that the ONISM MAN is not a "man" but "something else," and advises Cyrille that they must burn three corpses in order to stop the ONISM MAN from having a body.
From here, Cyrille can choose in whatever order to burn the bodies in, each one being one of the entities which dragged Krow into the pond, and each one having a boss fight. After burning all of the corpses, Krow reveals to Cyrille that with all of them gone, it will allow for the ONISM MAN to enter him. He steals her pendant and flees to the Blackened Pond, dropping it inside the pond in order to appease the Essentia. Cyrille, in tears, embraces Krow and attempts to comfort him and offers him her guidance. Krow is initially taken aback by this, but pushes her off. The Essentia rises up from the pond with a cleaver in hand, hacking away at Cyrille until her gruesome death. The Essentia throws her corpse into the pond. She swiftly executes Olexa as well, and grabs Krow's hand to take him away. Michelle manages to escape, and dives into the water to retrieve Cyrille's corpse and enter into The All with it. A man known as The Master's Apprentice tells Cyrille that despite her death, her story isn't over, and will continue on in other vessels, such as Proto-Woman, Blue Woman, and Asuka.
Nameless' Journey[edit | edit source]
Alex is chained up and defenseless on top of a tower, and Michael walks up to him with his gun. Ready to fire and kill him, Nameless Child yells at Michael. Michael, caught off guard and with a face expressing immense shock, points his gun and her and shoots, calling her to fall off the tower.
Similar to the beginning of YIIK I.V, Nameless finds herself back in The Blackened Pond. However, things are swapped around. The Baby which berates Nameless is now the ONISM MAN. The good brother she chases after is now Alex instead of Rory. Instead of meeting William, she meets Rory, who is not referred to as the good or bad brother. Even more out of place is Nameless gaining companionship with actress Asuka Furutani, who explains that Kisage X has casted her as her "special friend." Before Nameless enters the iron maiden, Kisage X films a scene where Asuka and Nameless must overcome Kaiju Mechajaw, a monster from a previous Kisage X movie.
In Old Frankton, Nameless meets a young looking Michael, who calls her Allison. Under a tree, Michael sorrowfully tells her about how he did something horrible, and that he has to escape. He invites her to come with him, but Nameless declines since she can't make such a choice when she's just a kid, and can't find a way to bring Alex along either. Michael is frustrated about her answer, and tells her that he won't be able to talk to her ever again. He goodbyes her with a kiss. Nameless is excited by this kiss and decides to tell the Crimson Hero about it, who replaces the Golden Alpaca. The Crimson Hero is Alex, but with the Alpaca's blade and wings. When he's told about the kiss, he's pissed off at Michael and threatens to kill him. He tells Nameless to go and enter the Hell House, but when she approaches the door, the Golden Alpaca appears to try and kill her. Asuka and Nameless are able to overpower him and enter the home.
Inside the home, a (potential) memory of Allison's is depicted. Her Dad, stepmom and her baby son, Alex, are having a movie night. But because Allison is present, it creates a lot of hostility between the two parents. Nameless is told to pick out the movie to watch. She picks Kisage X's Kaiju Mechajaw Returns, ignoring the other more inappropriate films found in Alex's bedroom. It doesn't take long for the movie to cause Alex to start crying, and Avril gets Nameless to retrieve a toy panda from Alex's room to calm him down. The tension escalates until Avril and Antonio get into a bigger fight, ending with Antonio telling Nameless to play on the computer with the headphones on so she doesn't have to hear the arguing. During this argument, it's revealed that the scene is taking place on a set with Kisage X watching. Sammy Pak appears with a crown, and two entities grab Nameless to hold her still. Sammy crowns Nameless, and invites her to follow into the towering Mt. ONISM.
Throughout Mt. ONISM, journal entries from Michael can be found which details his descent into manipulating the ONISM Demon Auction into his favor in order to find Allison, as well as his burning hatred for Alex. As Nameless ascends the tower, she witnesses the main characters from YIIK being entrapped in cages. She manages to rescue Kisage X, who instructs her to play the roles of Carrie and Aaron in order to give closure to Rory and Chondra. Lastly she plays the role of Sammy, whom Kisage X refers to as her "true identity." As Sammy she meets with Michael, who orders her to take his gun so that she can be the one to kill the ONISM MAN. The ONISM MAN appears before her outside the room, but Nameless is unable to kill him, and she gets punctured by them instead.
Right when she is killed, Kisage calls for the scene to be cut, revealing the scene (as well as an implication that all events before) was apart of a movie being directed by him. Nameless takes her mask off, revealing to have been Asuka playing the role the whole time. This was the last scene to be shot for the movie, allowing for celebration.
A Benevolent Psychosis[edit | edit source]
The film crew celebrates with a wrap party at Cape Juno. Kisage X asks Asuka for one last favor, to deliver the VHS of the movie to a certain fan. Before the nights ceremonies begin, Krow asks to speak privately to Asuka. Krow is disturbed, because the holy blade which Cyrille held happened to be a sword Krow dreamed about the night before. He believes that he was meant to steal the sword prop and give it to Asuka, and tells her to save the ONISM MAN, then contradicting himself by telling her to kill the ONISM MAN. Krow freaks out and warns her that he is the ONISM MAN, and flees the scene.

Asuka heads to the birthday party of William, the super fan which Kisage X mentioned. She gives him the VHS copy of "YIIK I.V" as a present, and he begins watching it immediately. What follows is a scene of the characters destroying the limp body of the Essentia. This causes William to burst into tears, thanking Kisage X. He lifts up into the air, Asuka following and using the blade which Krow gave her to rip open his stomache to reveal the ONISM MAN inside him. The ONISM MAN has the main characters from YIIK being entangled with them. She manages to defeat the ONISM MAN in battle and untethers all attached to him, freeing them. Next, she approaches Alex who is trapped on top of the tower. Before she can though, Michael appears out of nowhere, threatening to kill him. He justifies his anger because of how Alex has ruined his life in every reality he resides in, but Asuka denies this, saying that he has only ruined the reality they are currently in, because parallel realities don't exist. This enrages Michael further, nearly pulling the trigger at Alex. Asuka decides to comfort Michael and offer him forgiveness, and cuts the ties which bind him, freeing him like the rest of the cast. Asuka finally cuts the binds of Alex, telling him that while he doesn't deserve forgiveness, it's a gift for both of them.
An alternative ending exists where Asuka attempts to forgive Alex before Michael. This lets Michael kill Alex, as well as continuing his rampage onto Asuka, Olexa, and Michelle. He lastly aims the gun at the camera (implying he is aiming at the player, and/or Kisage X) and fires.
