The Gothic Entity is a boss in the 4th chapter of YIIK: A Post-Modern RPG. They are composed of four different heads. When they have the halo on their heads, Vella must use Banish to continue dealing damage.

Story[edit | edit source]

As the party chases the Mall Rats for the keys to the van containing the Essentia, they corner them in the back of the mall. The Mall Rats fuse with each other and an Entity as a last resort. They separate and hand over the keys upon defeat, revealing that the Entity apparently motivated them to protect the keys the way they did.

Boss Fight[edit | edit source]

On the very first turn, the Gothic Entity will reduce everyone's HP to 1, posing a great threat to the party. They will occasionally use this skill throughout the battle as well. Chondra's spread item skill can easily get the party back to good health, and Alex's Smooth Jazz or Panda Barrier can stall the Gothic Entity long enough for everyone to get fully healed.

When the halos appear above the Gothic Entity's head, it is functionally similar to how a Soul Survivor acts in battle. Vella will need to use Banish to get rid of the halos, otherwise the party cannot progress in the fight at all.

Since they are of Wild Card affinity, keep track of what affinity it currently is so damage can be maximized.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Since the Gothic Entity only contains three people, the fourth head on the chest likely belongs to the Entity.
    • When under the Entity's protection, the fourth head on the chest is the only one without a halo.
  • None of the heads resemble the Mall Rats' regular forms, besides the eyeliner.
  • Their belt has the same Eye of Providence imagery seen in the Factory Hotel.
