Tutorial Dungeon

The Tutorial Dungeon was a dungeon in pre-release versions of YIIK. As the name implies, it acted as a tutorial to the game, occurring before Alex's return to Frankton. In YIIK I.V, The Blackened Pond serves a similar role as a striking introduction before Alex's story begins.

While the tutorial sequence was cut from the final game, the dungeon itself was repurposed for two secret endings.

It was cut from the game as playtesters felt it was slow and that it took too long to get into the actual game.

Story

Before entering the dungeon, Alex appears on-screen, lamenting a woman made of plastic whose influence spread across history (and was particularly dear to him), questioning whether she should be loved or hated by us.

The woman in question, the Essentia 2000, then descends from the sky into the dungeon. stub
