The Player is a character in YIIK: A Post-Modern RPG. They first appear in Chapter 6 when Alex reaches out to ask for them and their friends to help to defeat Proto-Alex, but are present through the whole story as Alex is the one narrating it to them. They aid in the fight against the four Alexes inside the Proto Star as well as the battle against the Twisted Beings.
It is their decision to unplug Proto-Alex and The Essentia 995 that leads to their defeat, with Alex following the player's lead.

- Their appearance bears a resemblance to the Hero from the Dragon Quest series.
- When Alex asks for The Player's help, the console in their room changes depending on what console you are currently playing on.
