The Hook-Handed Jock is the first boss Alex needs to defeat in Wind Town. This fight is also the first to have the Vine Drop dodge minigame. After the battle, he gains respect for the party as he hasn't "...been hit like that since Pre-K."
A female NPC in Frankton describes him as her boyfriend, and talks about moving to Wind Town to live with him.
